How to play League of Legends?
League of Legends has three basic game modes which include Howling Abyss, Twisted Treeline, and Summoner's Rift. The typical LoL matches last somewhere between 20 to 60 minutes. During each of the three-game modes, members of a teamwork with each other to gain victory which is normally gained by destroying the opposing team’s nexus. In all game modes, players in control of on-screen characters called the champions, each having unique abilities. Each champion starts at a low level at the beginning of the game but as the player gains experience, they rise in levels until reaching the maximum level which is level 18. As the player goes up in levels, they get to unlock the special abilities of their champion. If a champion loses all its health, it is defeated and revived to its base after some time.
All the players start the game with a very low amount of gold as well, with the ability to earn more as the game progresses through killing minions and other monsters, by destroying opposing team’s structures, and by killing the champions of the other team. The gold earned, champion experience and items bought are specific to each match and remain active within that gameplay. Once that gameplay is over, the champion experience, gold earned and other items collected during the course do not carry over to the next matches. This is the reason that all the players on both teams start each new match with the same footing and abilities as the members of the opposing team, creating a level playing field for all.
